Project Description
Leukemia, bone marrow transplant and stroke survivor Bob Hardy founded the Wobbly Walker Walker-Thon.
After a serious balance problem ended a decade of marathon cycling, Bob Hardy decided if he couldn’t ride his bicycle to raise money for Terry Fox, he would walk his walker – and enlist others in need of a walker. Find out how Bob and the Wobbly Walker Walker-Thon are helping more people get active and involved.
“Because of the walker I can now walk competitively… racing my walker. and so I decided to approach my Terry Fox friends… and I would call it the Wobbly Walker Walk. I also want to get people who need walkers to walk with me… not helping themselves getting into shape.”
